In September 1970, Gini Lopez and two others founded Nature’s Own Bread Bakery. They took 1101 Williamson Street as rent for opening the bakery.

In 1977, K. Alexander, the chief operating officer and executive vice president of Flowers Foods introduced Nature’s Own.

Why was Nature’s Own bread recalled?
Nature’s Own Bread was recalled for using undeclared milk. Over 3,000 loaves of the brand’s Honey Wheat bread were banned by the US Food and Drug Administration.
In six states of the US, those loaves were sold, but those were recalled due to the existence of undeclared milk.
Flowers Foods issued the willful recall after finding that loaf of nature’s Own Butter bread-bearing milk was unwillingly packaged in Nature’s Own Honey Wheat packaging.
The packaging does not write the milk details on the ingredients statement. People who have severe sensitivity or allergy to milk conduct a risk of a life-threatening or serious allergic reaction after consuming this product.
Later on, the items under the recall have been transferred to stores in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, California, and Wyoming.
Nature’s Own offers consumers who do not break the seal of bread can return it to their nearest stores.
